We've had such mild winters lately that I've been pushing my plant selections into Zone 6, rather than 5, which is our traditional zone.
Our peach tree is supposed to be OK to -20F. I can't recall anything else specifically -- the black currants, blueberries, grapes, honeyberries, cherries, apples, plum, etc. We'll have to see in the spring how much winter damage we sustained.
Seneca Lake's moderating influence only goes so far when the entire Northeast is plunged below zero.
From now on, maybe I should stick to Zone 5 -- just in case.
