The event features over 50 local artists, including Flying Whale Studios, that put a unique spin on arts and crafts. Unlike traditional craft shows, Mayday! Underground is an "indie" style event, featuring artists and crafters with a fresher, edgier product than traditional church and school shows. Vendors for the fifth Mayday! show include jewelers, soapmakers, painters and illustrative artists, photographers, ceramicists, fiber crafters, and many more distinct offerings. There will be hourly raffles, and free swag bags filled with items donated by the artist vendors for the first 50 shoppers.
Mayday! is collaborating with Sample Soap, a nonprofit organization that collects personal care items and distributes them to those in need. Sample Soap collects unopened soaps, shampoos, lotions, sewing kits, diapers, cosmetics -- any toiletries. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are especially needed. Any patron who brings an item for them receives a free raffle ticket.
Food will be available from the Small World Bakery. Coffee will also be available.
